WELCOME TO MY

HEART-MIND-BODY & SOUL

Born in Flushing, Queens, New York City,
to my French mother
Raymonde Eulaile Leboulanger

and my Irish dad
William Henry Maloney Jr.

Both were scholars and artists.
When I was 9 w
e moved to Connecticut,
then to Sonoma California.

At eighteen I moved to Boulder Colorado.
Having a love for music, I wrote my first songs a capella.
Worked at the Good Earth restaurant as a Wok cook.
Became head cook in two months.
New restaurant chain opened in Denver
Hired me to train their kitchen staff.

Then back to Sonoma to work at a family owned restaurant,
'Mother Fluggers’ Old Same Place'.
Met a guitarist who had music that fit with songs I'd written.
We became a songwriting team.
Before I knew it I was singing on stage.
We were another rock band who went through a few names
and several garages before parting ways.

Immediately I joined an eclectic band doing all styles.
Realizing I had a wide vocal range and a diverse voice.
Went to college, took private lessons,
studied the performing arts.

Personally I was evolving.
Met & became engaged to my first serious girl friend.
Then I ran into Jeff Brockman,

a musician & budding filmmaker.

We started working together
in all facets of the two industries.

Joined my first serious hard rock band in the late eighties (A.K.A.)
Complete with the long hair and tight pants.
Played the northern California circuit &
made a well produced CD.

Jeff played a pivotal part in my career.
I hired him to do a video to the song
(“Love Me“)
.
We rented a theatre, a limo, & a fog machine.
Picked up the crew, the band, twelve hot rocker chicks,
and filmed a music video for MTV.

Drugs were more important to the band than music,
So I distanced my self from the project.

Just in time for the next phase.

Grunge Rock!
(Of course we didn’t know it at the time, what it was...).
The band, O-U-NO-U , needed a new singer/lyricist.
That was to be me, we clicked.
It was different than anything else.
We did our first demo“Like it!“
and made up merchandise to go along with it.
O-U-NO-U Like it!

stickers, buttons and clothing,
Were appearing on butts, bumpers, and breasts
through out the area.

Did another video with Jeff’, “J.B. Productions”
to the song Go ahead.
Changes in the line up led to our 2nd release, self titled
O-U-NO-U CD.

We gained a major sponsor, 'Budweiser',
Disbanded due to miss-management.

During the transition from A.K.A. to O-U-NO-U,
I started focusing on theatre, films, and print.
Jeff Brockman made me a Video portfolio,
I found an agent and started to make money.
I Did all types of work including the cover
of Hempworld“ magazine.

I then met Steve Brady.
Steve moved to Sonoma County
from the 'Farm' in Tennessee With his band,

Audio-Mind
. Which soon adopted me.
These good old boys weren’t old but they we're good
and had a fresh eclectic world beat sound.

This band turned into Slyde Audio Mind“.
We produced the CD “N2D Groove“,
Currently available for purchase.
We still record and perform occaisionally.
Click on soul for Mp3's etc...

I went through a few other original and cover bands including
Nug.

I
I then Trademarked the clothing line,
“O-U-NO-U Like it!“
I found a lawyer who wanted to go into business,
Built an E-commerce web site.
Designed new logos,
Picked out garments and items and started manufacturing.
Chose models, directed photo shoots
and a Promotional video.
The company went down in the Dot com collapse.

'Kerry Garloff' a long time friend then approached me.
He wanted me to check out this band he was with
K.G.B.
We recorded a ten song CD at Kerrys' studio.
This turned into Concrete Marshmallow.
J. Brockman produced a 7 track CD,
“Super Black Top”,

Which still has lable interest
& 10 more tracks to mix and master.

Concurrently I fronted the 70’s funk band
"Groove Juicy“.

I obtained the stage name “Slyde“.
We built a following quickly.
We were crazy, wore wigs and outfits,
and did skits on stage.

theme shows, filled the stage with girls,
rocked the funk hard,
drove the crowd into frenzy, & tore off our clothes.
They loved us!

Still work closely with Jeff Brockman,
as an actor in his commercials, films and voiceovers,
as an assistant director on shoots and a studio vocalist.

Currently he’s the owner of a film company, filmfx.tv
and the leader of the progressive rock band, Cairo,
as well as the national marketing director for
Chevron Oil Stop.

I’m currently recording an acoustic CD
at Kerry Garloffs' 'K-Master studios.

Plan to continue doing what I love.
Loving, learning and growing.
A health enthusiast and fitness fanatic.
Presently I reside in San Francisco,
AND FRONT the band One B ig Bang...

All the best to you throughout your life…

Work for peace...

Sincerely,
Patrick Joseph Maloney
